The Versatile Blogger Award

I got one! I got an award! I am a (relatively) new home schooling mommy blogger who is still learning the ropes. To say that I am surprised and excited and happy for this award would be an understatement. Thank-you to Marissa from Life|In|Between|The|Lines for first coming by and then to read and then to post and then to give me this award!

The 10 Questions…

1. Why did you create this blog?
I created this blog because I needed to get out some things about my home learning experience of my chest. I get all kinds of questions from all sorts of people. Some of the questions I get asked are hard to answer or the answer just leads to more questions or I do not have the answer yet. So I simply give them my blog url. I also started to use my blog to express some of my opinions on education. My opinions are totally uneducated but I do have experience. I have one child who is going through the public system and at grade 11 I can tell you that there has been a lot of change that I have some concerns about. I also use my blog to share my experience. I am the only parent in my immediate neighbourhood who home schools so finding another person to gab about home learning has been difficult. I continue to blog because I enjoy every part of it and I get more back than I ever expected. I feel pretty grateful for having the opportunity to blog (for free too).

2. What kinds of blogs do you follow?
I have a silly sense of humour so I follow humour blogs. Mostly though they are all about parenting or teaching.

3. Favorite make-up brand?
hmmm….I really do not have a favorite. I can take an hour looking and comparing and asking the clerk for her opinions on different brands of whatever I am in the store for.

4. Favorite clothing brand?
I actually do not know the brand, but there is a little clothing boutique in the mall close to where I live called Brians. That is wear I shop.

5. Indispensable makeup product?
Lip stain. You know I thought of that idea 10 years ago after watching a little girl who I was babysitting use red felt to mark her lips? Can you imagine how hard I am kicking my own butt now? I could have been a millionaire!

6. Favorite color?
Green! Every shade.

7. Favorite perfume?
I don’t use perfume now but way back in the day I loved Alfred Sung.

8. Favorite film?
That depends on my mood. I like all kinds of movies.

9. What country would you like to visit and why?
New Zealand because it is beautiful!

10. Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face?
Blush.
